Although there is no mystery in the outcome, Ivan Kubista draws the reader along on his journey from Southern Minnesota to New York and back, with some surprising adventures along the way. I kept wanting to see what would happen next.
"Music Lessons" also showed the reality of how our lives are not always in our control and how one or two people or one or two events can and do alter our life's path.
Besides the engaging tale, there are some very funny descriptions of characters and events. It's a delightful read.
A must read for anyone who lived in the 60's and had aspirations of becoming a star in the days of folk music and rock and roll.

The book has everything from hardship to success to "who would have thunk it"?
A great read for all walks of life and all adult ages. Personally, I think musicians may get an extra bonus out of it.
I read it beginning to end and couldn't put it down. Few books have me doing that.
